So, maybe I'm just a total noob but I thought that a shiny steering wheel (which I can't f'ng stand) was from wear. WRONG. It's from all the oils soaked up from our hands. Anyway, I just discovered that using a MAGIC ERASER on the wheel restores that beootch to looking brand new factory fresh matte again! Only takes about 10 mins - get a small bucket of water, submerge magic eraser, wring it out, begin lightly scrubbing your wheel. Periodically wipe clean with paper towels or a cloth. I'm so stoked about this it almost deserves it's own thread.

Left side done, right side shiny.

Magic erasers are an abrasive. You didn’t remove the oil, you roughed up the surface and likely made it more absorbent.

Whatever it did, it's back to looking factory. And it did remove oils and dirt, you should have seen the water in the bucket after. Filthy.

That’s pieces of the surface of your leather steering wheel.

Installed some new pedals. Nothing too impressive...

Had my alignment done today after sticking my Eibachs on last weekend. Everyone at the shop wanted to test drive the truck afterwards... The hot secretary asked if I can bring it back over Monday so she can try. [emoji6]
Probably won’t tell the wife that one
