My 2017 doesnt have this much rust and we live on the coast and its routinely warm here

recipe for rust

trailers that arent painted or galvanized fully rust in 6 months

Tell me about it! Its getting really warm nowadays which makes me think of the the 37's again since I am not hitting the dirt anymore.
But I will have this inner debate of functionality vs looks which results in me taking a step back and going back to square one.

Used the G2 caliper paint. It’s really rugged stuff and meant to last. It’s paint brush applied but as I’ve mentioned in the post on brake caliper painting in this forum, you should get some extra small brushes as they get kinda frayed and bushy while painting the calipers. I didn’t even mask off the tow hooks but probably would have been better to do a little masking. Clean thoroughly then wipe down with isopropyl alcohol, let dry and paint. Will need at least 2 coats, maybe 3 (at least 15-20 minutes apart) due to the black color underneath. Wise to lightly sand the tow hooks prior to cleaning. Super easy. Cheapest G2 paint is at Stage 3.

Thank you! Unbolting the fronts is easy, no? They look good!

Congrats! Purchased used, tell us where you found it.
Thanks! I found it through USAA car buying service. They use TrueCar to search for vehicles. It ended up being in Costa Mesa, CA. I would have flown down and picked her up but since covid, I'm not allowed to leave within an hour from town. I am surprised that shipping wasn't that bad though. I would ship a vehicle again with the company I used.

Put the headlight surround vinyl on - they are kind of a bitch to do properly and take time. I like the color contrast for sure (I went with gloss black as my roof is gloss black) I'm just not sure about the cutouts for the lettering. I may order a plain set with no lettering.

Awesome choice on the gloss. I think they look great; I also think the letters look just fine.
