ShadowRaptor, where did you tap into power for the strip LEDs? Thank you...

To keep the answer short, I tapped into my aux ( 2nd AGM) battery in the bed.
(led strips themselves are hooked up to my solar charge controller, in the pic)
When it gets warmer, I’m gonna sort out and clean up the wiring a bit more.
It’s still winter and cold here, lol.

Looks great. Did you fab a mount or tie downs for the Aux trolling battery? I am thinking of doing a similar setup. Thanks for the ideas.

Not fab technincally, but I did use metal braces and heavy duty L bracket
and cut a few smaller brace for reinforcements. Also used grade 8.8 bolts.
Its on page 287 and 288 of this thread.
The important thing is make sure you use correct gauge wire and use Isolator so you dont drain your oem battery.

Hey, thanks, appreciate it.

No prob...
Here’s the isolator I used...there are different ones out there,
But this one came with 20 foot 7 AWG wire...enough for me to run from hood to bed.
I also added circuit breakers, from isolator and from 2nd battery for safety reasons. (the amps will depend on your needs)

Installed Bedrug and Ultra Flex Tonneau cover.

Great quality on both. I’m Embarrassed to say, took me 5 hours to install both.
I was a bit disappointed with the pre-scored cut outs for the LED lights with the bedrug, they don’t line up and are too long. Learned the hard way with the first cut and over cut the opening by a good 1”, but was able to “cut and paste” so it looks ok.

I removed the two LED bed lights and removed the light switch by reaching my arm up through the underside and pushing the tabs that hold the light switch in place. This created a clean installation with the switch trim fitting over the bed rug.

Very impressed with the Ultra Flex quality, fit and finish. Much improved over my Gen1 Bakflip. I opted to have the drain hoses exposed so it’s not tucked behind the bedrug.
