Me too. To take some of the sting out of it, I fill up when I get to 1/2 tank. I can usually get a couple weeks on 1/2 tank.

If you measure using smiles per gallon it’s cheaper

Drove the front stub axles back in. I cut up some 3" .180 steel tubing. Slit and bent it to about 4".

Stuffed it over the cv boot, and slowly pounded the axle ends back on, while rotating the shaft. Easy Peasy.
