foolishly decided to wash the truck today when it is -25°C outside (-37 with the windchill). I never realized how much water got in between the door jambs, so I spent an extra hour drying off the whole truck as much as I could. Insulating and heating the garage is the next big home project for sure!

editL: i was still at a car wash, in case that wasnt clear lol

All finished and painted, went with Satin black high heat enamel. The trick was the mask off for sure, came out better than I’d hoped. Not bad for an 8.8 I guess, the truss seems super solid but time will tell.

What did you use to clean the rear end with before painting? Looks really good, but my OCD would of made me use masking tape on the brake lines.

I did mask off all the brake lines before painting. I used brake cleaner and a few shop rags to wipe it all down. The paint had a few runs on the passenger side of the truss which was a bummer, but can’t really see if unless you’re up close.

Oh okay, sorry, its hard to tell, what I thought was paint on the rubber line was where you actually cleaned it and part of it isn't clean(away from the housing). So, I take it back, you went from a good job to EXCELLENT!!
