Hooked up the overland trailer to head out to the mountains today. The trailer is a project. This winter I am painting the frame, replacing the wood sides, front and back ramp with diamond plate, adding some exterior storage for generator, fuel and water. Adding a cage on the front for a deep cell battery and probably more but for now it works.

Anyone interested in a bumper from Evil Offroad should do it this weekend. Free pair of Baja Designs S2 Sport or Squadron Sport lights with every purchase. Im getting a custom Hellion bumper

New shoes yesterday, General Grabber ATX, 35x12.50r17.

The last photo is comparing the KO2 315/70r17 to the ATX 35, pretty noticeable size difference.

Wasn’t impressed with the KO2 for longevity OR Offroad performance. Let’s see how the Grabbers will hold up.

They look very similar in design.

The ko2s in that photo have 33,000 miles on them. I do 95% freeway driving and rotate every 4,000 miles. The DOT manufacture date on the ko2s is 3617, so maybe it was a bad batch? Maybe I did something wrong but I thought 33,000 was low for them to be so low. I’ll be doing tread measurements every tire rotation with the grabbers.

Yes, that's low mileage out of the KO2's. I've got 37 K on my original KO's with the worst tire at 5/32" and the the two best at 7/32". So I expect to get near 40K before a new set.
