That's what I was afraid of. I was told that the factory now greases the splines. I guess not.....

Yukon Joe :baby: :baby:

They probably do but the grease can only last so long. Moving back and forth constantly will move the grease out eventually along with the ATF breaking it down over time.

Mounted a TMX skid plate that I got back from getting sandblasted and Line-X covered. Thanks to @Backinblack for the great deal on purchasing the skid plate. Added pictures under my album of Lex Baja Brute custom rear bumper and TMX skid plate as I still cannot figure out how to get my Mac to add pictures onto these posts. Thanks to Brian @GSi Motorsports for the help and customizing ideas. Tomorrow I go to get Undercover Elite LX installed.

I put I light film all around in the slip yoke last year still was lube this year when I upgraded my springs.
You don't want to load it up to much because it will contaminate the Transfer Case Fluid.

ill try this.

after the weekend at ROC fest i have the clunk back. I'll be using what you have for a mare permanent fix. The ford stuff is good but through long cycles its made it dry again.

The ford grease is quite thin.

Just make sure you clean out the yoke with brake cleaner so the Dupont with Teflon bonds to the steel.

Sort of off topic since I haven't done it yet, but I received the ok to get the Socal front bumper for Christmas. Now I have to wait for Christmas. Or my bonus next week, you know, whichever comes first...
