Finished up putting on vinyl that I ordered with my hood wrap.

Did some smoked mirror signal overlays too, they're not as dark as I'd hoped (in the sun the amber lens just looks uniformly dirty), and didn't fit quite right... guess we'll see how long they last.

Lastly, got some bed storage for odds and ends, unfortunately the locks use different keys, but I called and they're sending me two new matched cylinders so I only need to carry one key :)

Now enough of the look good mods, I think it's time to work on performance and durability. Still can't decide what front bumper I want to go with, pretty sure I know which rear bumper I want, but I change my mind all the time, lol.

the Wurth under-seal is a premium product, it completely dries and is not tacky but it is also 15 bucks a can. I took it off road and it so far has not chipped and it has had rock impacts.

Just an FYI....

I didn't have any undercoating in my rear fender wells so I sprayed mine with some of this...

Seems to be working well. It seemed kinda tacky even after a few days of drying but it looks pretty good and supposed to prevent rust. Only time will tell.

Here's a closer shot

Good idea!! I might have to go buy a couple cans and do it this weekend :)

Do yourself a favor - DO NOT GO HARD OFF ROADING WITH THOSE SWING CASES IN THE BED. I totally forgot about mine at TRR. They were full of tools. Got back to the pits and looked in my bed and the passenger side box had ripped itself out of the bedside. Terrible feeling to see your truck bed metal shredded like that.

Just a word from someone who has direct experience with this nightmare.....

Damn... well thanks for the word of advice!! I suppose I can see it happening though, they feel sturdy, but kinda flimsy at the same time. Guess it's a good thing the boxes come off easy.

Replace the self-tapping screws with bolts, washers and nylon lock nuts, as explained in this thread:

http://www.fordraptorforum.com/f11/undercover-swing-case-34721/

I've been in loose sand and had the rear end of my truck twerking like Miley Cyrus, and the cases stayed in place. Stuff inside was a little scrambled up, but they did not come loose.

You can also add a padlock to the hinge just in case the bed latch pops loose.

I also see from your pic that you have a newer model. Looks like the hinge is beefier.
