Here you go, that Adam revive polish took off all the haze on the vinyl and some elbow grease.

How is the speaker held down in place?

I honestly don't know. I asked them to use some heavy duty velcro, hopefully they did, we've been running around since I picked the truck up from the installer, so I haven't looked yet. I'll find out in the morning, lol.

Good news is it hasn't moved, and I was driving kinda crazy down some backroads, lol.

After using Revive on the factory hood graphic, I put on Paint Sealant and then Buttery Wax. It looks really good but did I screw it up?

Well, that's not good, but it should be fixable. You should clean the matte vinyl again with Revive to remove the sealant and wax.

Sealant and wax can discolor matte vinyl. While it may not be noticeable now, as the products dry out over the next few weeks, it may become more noticeable by looking blotchy or streaked.

Once you get the matte vinyl cleaned, I would apply Super VRT, as it will soak into the vinyl and help even out the finish.

After a few weeks, if the vinyl looks blotchy or discolored, you may need to clean it with diluted All Purpose Cleaner. The downside to this method of cleaning the vinyl is that the All Purpose Cleaner must be thoroughly rinsed, which will cause it to strip the sealant and wax from the adjacent painted areas.

Keep me posted on how it goes.

^this.

Machine polishing vinyl is not a good idea. Way too easy to damage it and scratches and swirls in vinyl don't polish out. Revive Hand Polish is a great product for vinyl, as it is more of a cleaner than a typical polish, since it does not contain any abrasives.

If you need to polish the paint next to the vinyl, tape off the edges of the vinyl to protect them from damage by the machine, and to keep product from building up on the edges.

While some people will apply a wax or sealant to vinyl with a machine on low speed, I find that it just gets too much product on the edges. Best to do these areas by hand, too.

Once you get the vinyl cleaned up, use Quick Sealant or Super VRT to add some protection. If your vinyl is gloss, then you can also use a wax for protection (no wax on matte vinyl).

Appreciate the advice. I've detailed a few vehicles in my day, I'll be ok

Always refer to the videos. But like you said I'm with you and would rather pay someone to do it right. Once a year, the rest of the time I can do regular washing waxing.

Okay guys, where in the video section does it talk about matte vinyl? Even watching the SVRT video, he just talks about tires and trim. I thought it was rather funny how he was "whispering" since it was a Ferrari, ohhh...

Here is one. It is an older one, and refers to Fine Machine Polish which has been replaced with a newer product.

Revive is the polish to use. Brilliant Glaze can also be used as a vinyl cleaner.
