Iv been working on the passengers side door for about an hour and a half. It's about 75% done. I'm sure this is going to require power tools lol. Just don't know if I'd be better off buying a buffer and tackling it myself or taking it somewhere. We really don't have a "good" detail shop around here. I'm afraid it would just come out worse than it went in. Glad yours came out fairly easily.
What clay bar are you using? What are you using for lubrication?
Different grades of clay are more or less effective at removing paint overspray. A clay that is good at removing paint would be sticking to your fingers, and require lots of Detail Spray.
Once you do get it cleaned off, make sure to apply a paint sealant so that next time the paint won't stick so bad.

Oh man that's not good at all. I used the clay bar to get all these rust speckles off my truck they were everywhere. I parked too close to someone grinding steel at my shop after an hour of using the bar I finally got it all off.
You can save some time and effort removing iron contamination by using Adam's Deep Wheel Cleaner to dissolve the bonded iron particles. Follow up with the clay bar to remove any other bonded contaminates, and then apply sealant or wax to protect.
