You break the oddest shit

I don't even know. It snapped clean off.

Man that sucks. I had that happen to my F-150 before. Luckily it's a pretty cheap part and it easy to replace. Just make sure you soak the bottom with penetrating oil before trying to pull it out so it doesn't snap at the block.

I have SW headers. Pretty sure it's not going to be easy.

Oh ya you're probably right. You have to get to the bolt at the block then pull it out. If you want an easy fix you can just get rubber vacuum line with the same ID as the tube and slide it over the broken piece and put them back together. I did that on one of my company trucks and never had a problem with it.

Probably run with that. Looks like a pretty clean cut and a couple hose clamps and tubing should do the trick.

Managed to persuade the dealership that my alternator was actually broken, had them test it this morning after the machine at advance auto parts said it was duff yesterday. They said it was ok, went to grab some lunch after they finished the oil change and decided to have it tested at the o'reillys and autozone next to the lunch spot. Both tests showed bad rectifier. Took it back to the dealer and asked them to re-test as I will be doing a 3000+mile road trip in 2 weeks, they grudgingly obliged, test came back as bad alternator, so they got me a rental and the service writer explained how pissed he was at the tech. Finally got out of the dealership around 3:30pm after arriving at 9am. Hopefully the new part works fine tomorrow.

Finished up the mounts for the secondary projectors in my new headlights and started finishing up the internal wiring of the lights. Sunday morning I will start mounting up the harnesses and ballasts on the truck so I can test fit the lights before I seal them up.

What line? What's the temp rating on that?

After detailing on Saturday, I couldn't pass up an opportunity to get it back to its natural dirty state!
