Everyone I've spoken too didn't have very good luck with the sound quality when the radio is mounted inside the console. ....thus removed it. Between the 6.2 liter screaming in power band and your fav tunes playing at 70mph in a wooped out wash.....well, not so much.

How is the sound with the console lid closed? Or do you have the speaker option plugged in and if so, where did you mount it?

No external speaker option currently installed... although nothing says it can't be done sometime in the future. I can't speak to how well it'll do offroad, but it was plenty loud in my garage at maybe 1/10th of a knob turn. I could hear it from outside the truck (windows down, lid closed) while standing next to my garage boombox listening to Audioslave.

Unless I know the area/road/trail...my stereo is kept quiet. So I personally, shouldn't have any issues. For this build, I followed a path others had already taken. And they all stated the sound is great when on the trail.

Found some free time to install the Rigid E2 40" Lightbar behind the grille. I'm feeling pretty good about my recent mods.

Ordered mud flaps from Matt at PDP.

He was awesome to deal with. I had to do everything by email since I am in Saudi...and he took care of everything VERY quickly.

Got it back from the body shop all shined up an immediately took it to storage and disassembled the front and boxed up the LCA's to send back to camburg to get the powdercoat fixed up. Probably gonna be another 2 weeks without the truck, but I will have some time to get the knuckles repainted and fix my vacuum line issues.
