The grill FORD letters were covered with a reflective red
vinyl...

Decided to try Matte Black plastidip--- bought it from Pep Boys 5.99 a can.

Started with the reflector tabs on the side mirrors...


To this...

And did three coats on the grill...


In the end...

Dealer said the main transmission harness used to rest on the fender wells

When we did fenders the first time around I guess the repositioned harness had positioned itself on a bolt on the firewall. It rubbed until it broke. Denied warranty claim

That sucks man. But thanks for the heads up. I'll be careful of that when I get fenders.

Progress on the Roof Rack design...

End result will be something like this - but without the dimple die plate and double hoop at the rear to simplify it and open up the side access:

I did all the design work - created all the instructions with cut lengths and bend angles etc. etc. - and a friend's shop is doing the fabrication work while I check in and help out on the way to the office, lunch break and after hours.
