Thought about finally getting around to installing my Rigid D2 and Dually floods in the front bumper openings. I mean, I've only had the kit for about 2.5 years now.

Laid down on the garage floor, held the driver's side bracket up to the structural member that it's supposed to mount to, and noticed once again just how ****** the bracket lined up with everything else. Thought about ways I could make it work. Quickly decided, "**** it" and threw the bracket back in the parts bin.

I'll order an aftermarket bumper one of these days. Til then I'll just look at the Rigid bracket and think about how I'd like to throw it through their company office front window.

Yeah. The angle for the leading edge has a lot of run-out in correlation to the angle of the bumper. There's a 0.75" gap at the edge closest to the center of the truck and 0.25" over at the edge closest to the outside of the truck. Where the plate should rest against the seam in the structural member next to where the plastic tree fastener goes through, it runs out about 1/16" inch across the width of the structural member so that it won't lay flat AND still square up on the back side.

It's fixable but I know a bumper is in my future so I just can't muster enough care to go through the motions for something I'll use for 4-6 months tops.

Just really ****** quality control on Rigid's part.
