I did the AC line insulation MOD that others have done. All I can say is that insulation gets mighty warm from the engine heat. I'm sure it helps a great deal by reducing ancillary heat loads.

Have you noticed a significant difference?

Kaiser, I only drove it for about 30 mins after today. But like I said, it has to be making some improvements because the insulation I installed was really hot when I check it after that drive. I know others have said they see huge improvements. Don't know their year or system conditions. For me, I think it has to be allowing for better performance. I just cant prove it...

Got my Raptor out of the shop on Thursday after finally getting the Snoball damage fixed. Stupid bitch rear ended me the next morning while I was at a dead stop, at a red light. Sprained thumb, whiplash and back pain on me (went to the ER). Raptor's damage is receiver hitch is pushed back far enough to be touching the spare tire, bumper is dented and the freshly painted bed is now ****** up again from where the bumper pushed into paint. Bitch wouldn't even give me her name or insurance info. "Isn't that what the police are for?" Cop wouldn't give me the info either. Now I get to drive back to the police precinct to get the friggin information to get her insurance info to file a claim. I'll lay odds she didn't have insurance of which it will be my goal in life to make hers a living hell. Tennessee doesn't have the stupid "homestead exemption" like Texas.

DAMN that sucks!

Isn't it covered by you're insurance
And they file the claim at the oposing party?

Here in the netherlands we just file a claim it with our insurance and they take care of the rest

Just give them the licenseplate info
And its done deal

Just doesn't make since why the officer didn't give you her information? They probably would have arrested my Ass, because I know I would have went off on the officer for not providing the information. Something just doesn't smell right. Good Luck with this BS...

That is really messed up.

I borrowed my father's F350 SD Dualie in the spring to pick up a new dishwasher. On the way home, the wife and I got hit from behind by a teenage girl with three other kids in the car. She totaled her car and stuffed my three ball hitch through the block. Wife looked at me and said "what was that?" I think we just got hit.

The sum of the damage to the truck was a lima bean sized dent on the bottom of the tailgate where her hood buckled into it. If it had been my truck I would not have even filed a claim but there was no way I was giving a borrowed truck back with damage, no matter how small. Her insurance company insisted on replacing the rear bumper, reciever, and paiting the gate. I still have a perfectly good reciever and chrome bumper in my garage.

Anyway, short story long, the officer gave both of use a form with the others info before we left the scene.

Best of luck with your issue!!!

Not sure why everyone is getting worked up over not giving out personal info at the scene of a crash (?). The other party's vehicle/name/insurance should be listed on the vehicle crash report (assuming there was one completed due to the damage mentioned).

Just let the insurance company know and either they or the involved party can get a copy of the crash report from the investigating PD's records office.
