Why are the bolts so long on the bump mount?

In order to have the proper shank length these are the bolts we use. A lot of guys trim them down. We could supply shorter bolts but the threads would be in the impact zone, although we are fully confident there would be no bending or breaking.

SDHQ ABS guard kit installed

Knocked out the SDHQ ABS guard kit this morning in about 10 minutes! Just a little extra piece of mind.

Tire rotation at discount tire. Oil change at ford with Mobil 1 synthetic. And had them retorque front shock bolts. Had to convince them that it is 406 ft/lbs.

Yep.

Let me say, it sure made a big difference in the front getting them tightened down. Feels a lot more solid and stable.
