Removed the old PS pump. I noticed that 2 of the 3 bolts were corroded. A Lot. Turns out that on the front of the engine block FoMoCo cast a hollow space behind the front 2 bolt threaded sections, (allowing moisture to get to those bolts) but not the 1 behind them, which is threaded into a meatier part of the block. So now I gotta buy 2 new bolts. Thanks, Ford!

Bought my truck about a month ago. My rotors are warped. Been this way since I bought it.
I’m thinking I’ll just put up with it until I can find a shop to resurface but what brakes (pads and rotors)are you all running with good success on our trucks?
I drive a lot of pavement and fire roads. No jumping or racing so I don’t need anything too crazy.
Have any of you had good longevity from the oem-ish stuff?

Thanks

Did an oil change and front shock swap. I rebuilt the shocks last summer but didn't get a chance to install the front ones. Original shocks have 120k miles on them. No leaks and other than cosmetic damage they seemed good. I put in Schrader valves and flutter stacks when I rebuilt my second set to replace the originals.
Made an adapter for my press for the coil re&re.
Also started playing around with Forscan.

I have a spare set of shocks that need a rebuild but don't have the tools to do it. I found a great place in San Antonio to do them. I just need to get it done and swapped. I have 42,300 miles on my 2014. I want to swap them out at 50k miles and rebuild the ones currently on the truck.

Anyone know what the value of a set of rebuilt shocks with 50k miles on them usually run?

Love it! i basically have the exact same setup with my press and just started rebuilding shocks myself. Good to see other guys out there doing their own work.
