What is the point of this? New to raptors.
Any paint helps inhibit rust/corrosion, but steel-it is purpose built for use on raw metal that might other wise be expected to develop some amount of surface rust.

I didn't look close enough. I thought they were the reinforced and trussed ones. Thats what I was wondering the point of.Any paint helps inhibit rust/corrosion, but steel-it is purpose built for use on raw metal that might other wise be expected to develop some amount of surface rust.
Apologies I thought you were talking about the coating. He just reinforced the spindle, which can be a weak point when you start getting really serious about your offroading.I didn't look close enough. I thought they were the reinforced and trussed ones. Thats what I was wondering the point of.
The Fabrication shop also put it on a mill and drilled out the oem tapered tie rod section. The spindles now have larger 12point bolts, rated at 170K psi tensile strength. And they're only about $9 each, including the View attachment 390583castle nut. Seems like a smart upgrade, since these oem spindles are just regular f150 units and a Gen 1 Raptor starts out at 3+ tons on 35's.
