I noticed some parts already had insulation. The guy over at the other forum just used plain insulation and zip ties, and recorded just a couple of degrees difference using a vent thermometer. I'm not expecting a miracle. :)

Used DEI heat shroud on the AC lines inside the engine bay. There was a post in another forum that said this helped keep the AC cooler and he tested it with a vent thermometer. Worth a try.

From my experience it does help. It doesn't work magic, but helps on the low side to keep it cooler.

If you can isolate the low side and wrap those will be the best. Let the high side dissipate as much heat as possible. Unless the ambient temp near the high side lines is greater than the line itself. Then it would need to be wrapped.

Great little mod.

Few mods over the past couple of weeks. Upgraded stock hids with EvoX-R projectors, 50 watt bulbs and evil eyes from Raptor Retrofit. M&R slicks in the rear bumper. Gave it a good detail this morning and finished it off with a SVT decal on the rear tailgate.

Yes, I had their mount on the left side above the AC vent to hold the Livewire TS tuner. It did not block the vent. The mount and the tuner would sit just above the vent.

Since now I am going with a Nexus 7 instead of the Livewire, it didn't fit on the left. The Nexus is too big for that spot.

Does the tuner sit more horizontal than vertical? I have one of those stupid big galaxy note phones that I'm trying to figure out a place for but don't want to block any vents. Thanks

The Livewire is small enough and it's designed to be landscape (horizontal). The Nexus fits better portrait (vertical) but also works landscape in the right hand position. It only blocks the radio tuner knob.
