Certain causes of loss are covered like driving thru a flooded road and sucking up water that seizes the motor, fire damage or rats chewing thru wires. Comprehensive coverage would cover all of those. We replaced a Challenger 392 motor because the client entered a flooded road. $16K for that bad boy
Interested to hear what happens there, likely varies by carrier but a quick look at my comp coverages says "If your car is damaged by something other than a collision or rollover such as theft, fire, vandalism, flood, hail, and contact with an animal, this coverage helps pay for repairs or replacement of your vehicle — even custom equipment up to a maximum amount (I think there's a $5k cap on custom)." Good to know a blown engine might be covered, I thought I'd pretty much be SOL...

I did the same at the self car wash! It’s so freaking cold here now I didn’t have to worry about salt spraying on it before I got it home and in the garage. Yours looks sweet!!
