Big-*** torque wrench is what I use, Summit/Jegs has 600ft-lb wrench for about $200, I used to borrow one from work but broke down and bought one a couple months ago. You can borrow mine heh, not sure which end of TN you're on but I'm just west of Conway, AR. You could probably wing it hitting that 406ft-lbs, like if you weigh 200lbs and have a 24" breaker bar but...I'd rather be on the safe side when it comes to suspension. Another plus about the torque wrench is that it's like 40" long so you can get plenty of leverage on it, even without a lift.
I may just have to buy one or see if someone I know has one. I’m in East TN so that would be a bit of a haul to AR.

It is haha! I could meet you in Memphis if you get in a bind, don't have any plans in that direction at the moment. Here's the one I got, be advised FedEx Ground lost two of them before UPS Ground finally delivered, I think because Jegs just slapped a sticky-back shipping label on the ABS plastic case it comes with and it probably got peeled right off (not that that wouldn't happen with UPS but somehow it made it):

View attachment 332786Installed my new to me rear shocks. Big difference in ride quality as the originals had about 130,000 miles and were completely shot. Will attempt to do the fronts with the Gieser springs and mid perch tomorrow. Only issue is I’m not sure how to torque the lower bolt to 460 foot pounds accurately.
When I did shocks on my Raptor I took it to the local ford dealership afterward and asked them to check the torque for me. 406

Could you explain how that is done? For us dum dums :)
A torque multiplier is a tool used to provide a mechanical advantage in applying torque to turn bolts, nuts or other items designed to be actuated by application of torque, such as the actuation of valves, particularly where there are relatively high torque requirements. Negative is a good torque multiplier will cost you as much as the JEGS torque wrench mentioned above!

Pretty much what @mprice1234 said, although I didn’t go the expensive route on the torque multiplier.

Mine is 1/2” drive input and 3/4” drive output. I measured the gear ratio on mine, ended up being 3.5 rather than the 3.0 as advertised. Instruction manual claims 10%-20% frictional losses so I went on the low side to be safe as I didn’t want to overtorque it. Set the torque wrench and get after it.
