Continuing with my engine compartment detailing, going too far maybe, taking the battery out and wanted to remove the battery tray but it’s moulded with the windshield washer reservoir, have everything disconnected, even had to pull the headlight out, which was the easy part , I haven’t drained it yet, but it appears difficult to get out, anybody know if you have to remove the outer fender first? Lol. Because that’s where I draw the line!View attachment 321912View attachment 321913

I vote for taking the whole truck apart and cleaning each piece.

Okay, so not so easy, I decided to drain the reservoir to make it lighter to manoeuvre, that didn’t work, so then I found if I removed the bottom front clip of the inner fender it was enough to contorte the thing out of there by pressing down and up at the same time, lol. I think if you removed the top rad hose, it would make it a lot easier, but when does a guy stop ‘eh. Got a whole Corona bucket of washer fluid out of it. Anyway cleaned up all that stuff and will detail these pieces after they dry. Corona that's quite the dedication to a under hood detail.... did I miss something in the news? is BC on lock down again I mean we definitely should be in Berta here..... and this is a way to pass the time?
You need a vaccine passport to do anything fun here, which I have, but I'm pretty much retired so, just tinkering around and detailing the engine area while i'm waiting for my coils and plugs to arrive. It's not easy to clean either, 11 years and 150,000 miles of grime and slime.
