Were just messing with you bro, You posted in the Gen 1 thread.
Welcome to the forum!! Nice truck BTW. Most of us Gen 1 guys are just
pissed because we can't afford a Gen 2 but most won't admit it.

I ordered a 2017 Gen 2. Drove it about 48k miles and I could hear new noises from the engine creeping up. Sold it and bought a Gen 1. Now I am happy.

Got the front crossmember better support. I really like the ADD Venom R bumper but really disliked how it mounted on the bottom to the skid plate with no support if you ever hit it. Other bumpers they carry do the same thing along with other brands too. I ordered the KHC Stage 2 kit so I would have that crossmember section and thought easy peasy. Nope that part does NOT work on the stock skid plate nor does it allow the two front bolts to go through. It sits too low but damn, its a quality stout product! I had to cut it up quite a bit to make it work.

I noticed all these companies doing that and didn’t like it. When I built mine I mounted directly to the crossmember utilizing the very large steering rack bolts. And added a cross brace between them that the rest of the bumper welds to. If I hit anything I’m sure I’ll feel it in my teeth.

What did you use?
Rustoleum FlexiDip Matte black. Wanted to test out the look before making anything permanent. I’m curious to see how well it holds up. I took off the flares, bumpers, & grill to paint them. Used 5 cans worth. Also ceramic coated the truck while I had everything off. It was pretty dirty under the flares.
