Added the complete Audison sound system with 10” sub under the seat, passenger side. Full tune and completely stock looking. WOW. What a difference

Mind if i ask what that cost? Also does it come with instructions on how to install or is it more of a stereo shop install?

$4200 with a few caveats. Audison, (upgrade level 10) makes the complete sound system, (fixed pricing for the most part) that integrates to the current system, coax/components/a-piller, misc bits pieces/parts, installed and professionally tuned. I also had them add the sound dampening in the doors while they were in there. I wanted to keep it looking stock and the 10" sub fits perfectly under the rear passenger seat.

Just to be clear, there are some here that insist I could have done this myself, "NOT", I wish i had the skills and know how. i would rather pay someone to do it right the first time. plus i got a warranty on all the work which took 3 days.

Link below will take you to all the component specs.

I'm sure others can do it but I used an authorized dealer/installer

I also changed over my music streaming service to Tidal and for a complete novice that made a world of difference to my ears

Thanks man. I’m in Washington state and it looks like the closest dealer is in Vancouver area. I might have to look into that. I have the lock pick installed on my truck and that was a bit of a hassle to install but i got it working. Just not sure if that’ll affect any stereo upgrades and i don’t really want to get into trying to combine everything.

Lock Pic?
I hear ya, fortunate we have a car Tronics with a great reputation I used. I was a little nervous pulling the trigger since I'm not a sophisticated listener of music, never thought it would soooo much better. every car i get in now I compare to mine. Daddy like. ha

Lock pic allows you to override a lot of functions. I have a 2011 with sync 1 and no cameras. I do have navigation and a touch screen though. Loc pick allowed me to install aftermarket front and rear cameras that display on the oem screen and activate in reverse and at slow forward speed. I can also disable the navigation lock while driving so i can set the navigation while moving. Probably does other things too but that’s all i use it for

Anyone that has navigation and cameras should get NavTv. Unlocks everything and also allows front camera use at any speed without Offroad mode. Same for rear camera.

Just got my truck back from the dealer after they had it for 3 days for the whining pump. Too busy to check it out day 1, day 2 they drove it and got it to whine, approved the warranty claim and gave me a 2020 Explorer Limited to take home. Day 3 they call and said its actually the passenger side idler pulley and not the power steering pump. Got it back and its so much quieter! I enjoyed the $55K Explorer but wish I had the time to diagnose it and spend $25 on a pulley instead of $100 for a car wash/warranty deductible
