Seems a simple job always turns into a nightmare. Took two bumpers off and put two new ones on. Broke one of the wires going into one of the backup sensors. Had to take that connector apart to somewhat fix. Connected up the new Baja Designs Squadrons. Man that bumper is tight, holes didn’t seem to line up and took quite some effort to get things on. Ended up breaking one license plate light housing. Finished the rear yesterday.
Got the front off and diff skid plate. The new bumper uses the factory diff skid plate which I no longer have so ordered the stronger Forged Off-Road one. Got dark, will start again tomorrow.
Finished getting the front done and was aiming and tighten up the adjustment nuts on the 40” Baja Design Arc Racer and snapped the bolt right off, UGH! Its a pain to get the bracket off now with the bumper on the truck. Thought I was going to need to drill it out but there was 1/4” of it still sticking out and was able to grab enough of it and ease it out (its in there with loctite) Luckily I found another Baja Designs bolt and did it again! It was the damn nut. Had another bolt thankfully and a new nut. Finished the job within minutes of pouring down rain.
Looks better than what I was expecting
Goodbye ROGUE
So glad to get their stuff off my raptor. Wasn’t cheap to replace but even doing it out of spite helps me feel better about my truck by not supporting a company who thinks treating customers wrong is good business.
