well i heard this popping noise from the driver front door the other day while on vacation. Turns out the door check Assembly was broken.




unbolted it and the back half dropped down behind the hood latch, little did i know Ford put plastic covers over their access points!


luckily i was able to retrieve the little pos so I didn't have to deal with some broken piece rattling around down there. when you look under your dash and above the parking break there is a plastic cover you need to remove to see the hole the door assembly goes through.. this picture sucks but it's all I could see.. such a pain! but glad I fixed this before my door swing wildly open and hit something.

Well yesterday I had another X-pipe added to the exhaust to see if it would cancel some of the drone and it made it louder.
Ain't trial and error a Bitch!

Did it cancel any of the drone?

It's what I would expect. A Helmholz resonator (J pipe) is what is used to reduce drone. It helped my Stainless Works Lightning style side exit system.
