Did the Fuse 27 mod today. It's been sitting on my work bench for 6 months just finally decided to do it. The mod is easy with a soldering iron and heat gun it's getting fuse box up and turned over is a huge pain. Managed to break several plastic clips and one metal one in the process...frustrating. The Ford instructions are terrible and they used a 1990's flip phone camera with no flash to take the pictures. Watched a Youtube video which helped a bit. Glad to have it done as I'm planning a big two week Colorado road trip this summer and don't want to leave the family stranded.

Flushed my brake system last night on rap 2 before my baja trip. Super easy, i have a motive power bleeder. Literally took me 15min to have all brand new fluid.
Btw if you don't have a power bleeder you are living in the stone age.

I took my truck in to the dealer Friday for the Trans recall, with 72000 miles I had them service the trans too. So today I decided to change he Transfer case fluid. Should be good for the summer now.

I've been wanting to DIY brake flush, seems pretty simple, which model motive power bleeder did you get?
Any tips for a first timer? Thanks!

I have a motive. Pretty inexpensive on Amazon. But then you will also need to adapter to attach to the specific vehicle you are doing... i think the adapters are 30??
Anyways pretty simple, I put 64 oz in so i make sure i get a good flush (but 32 is probably more than enough). Pump it up to 15lbs, Start are the furthest away and crack and bleed till it's clean. Then the rest. left rear, front right and front left.
I usually do another lap just to be sure all clean and no air but that too is unnecessary.
Also pro tip... If you haven't cracked the bleeders in a while they might wanna strip or even break before coming loose. So if you feel one is not coming like it should.... Give it a little tighten first and boom it will come right loose. Trust me it works

That's a lot. I get about 1/8 of a cup in 1,500 miles. (5/8" on the measure stick) JLT container.

The JLT on the drivers side is bone dry in 1,000 miles. Doesn't look like that side is needed.

Depends on the weather outside. During the winter, 2,000 miles was enough to almost fill it, now in warmer weather, 2,000 miles was 1/4 of the container.

Not with this one. It's about the same year round.

I think it depends where you live and where the truck sits. My truck sat outside all winter and the oil in the can was milky from condensation for much of hte winter. That oil/water mix filled that can in no time. Now that the truck is living warm in a garage every night and its warmer outside, the can has pretty much straight oil, and very little of it.
