Haha, good one! I thought of posting something with another GEN2 in here but that nailed it. At least he didn't throw 20's on it and got some decent wheels.

Had my son come over to help put on some new leaf springs. Thought we would start with what we thought would be the most difficult before getting it too far apart. It took some work but we got the nut off the front leaf spring bolt on the passenger side. Proceeded to the driver side and this kicked our ass, ended up giving up. The nut is on the gas tank side as the bolt was already turned around but everything we tried with the tools we had, we couldn’t break the nut loose.

We even tried some redneck engineering when all else failed.

Probably going to have to cut into the spring and cut the bolt out. Another day.

Not yet. Its so close to the gas tank so was a concern. Have to depress the gas tank some just to get the boxed end on the wrench on, its that close.

I’m assuming you took the opportunity to soak it with PB blaster every few hours since you started?
