Installed rebuilt shocks with flutter stacks, schrader valves, and mid-perch. Noticed that IWE vacuum lines were pretty brittle so I ordered a set this morning. Guess that will be next week's project.

Finally finished installing Geiser Springs on new shocks. Didn’t realize two of the three bolts on top of the shock where closer together. Found out the hard way and had to take apart the shock and realign everything. Also got 37s installed on SE beadlock wheels. Haven’t installed the beauty ring pending alignment.

Replaced the abused rear bumper reinforcement - bent towhook and badly rusted, that I inherited from the previous owner (MA truck) with one I reconditioned after obtaining it locally (thanks @Hole Shot!).

Replaced the canister purge valve after getting the telltale engine light and the PO456 code.

Got factory flares painted flat black with clear and reinstalled. I think I have crossed into the Chevy world when I had Bushwacker raptor flares installed...Well I am back. lol

Yeah went ahead and bought new shocks (2.5) once I considered the cost to rebuild, issues I’ve read about here with rebuilds (third parties; not Fox) and shipping costs I felt buying a new set would be the best choice for me. The major reason though is that I can’t go a couple weeks with my truck on blocks while I wait for shocks. I’m planning to send old shocks into Fox for a rebuild and either keep or sell.

Haven’t had much time on the Geisers but so far I’m liking them. I can’t say what changes are from the springs or tires since I only drove the truck a few miles with the new springs on 35s. But they do feel softer on mid perch compared to stock mid perch.
