Put the new UCA's(stock) in and transferred the new ball joints from my old blown out LCA's to my new/old LCA's. Reamed out the LCA slots to match the Cam Bolts, so hopefully, now it will align. On a side note, the drive home was the quietest I can remeber other than the front tires roaring from being out of alignment. The only noise I heard on the bumps and the washboard road coming home was the Fox's chirp on sharp jolts. Now if my rear 3.0s would show up all will be rainbows and unicorns.
For those dealing with the clunk. Just replace everything and get it over with. Though with all the practice doing the front end, I'm now pit crew fast on changing crap out.
UPDATE: It all aligned. Woo Hoo. It feels a little stiffer in the front now, though, because of the new UCA's but I'm sure it'll soften up when they break in.
Well, less than 24 hours later the truck went from fixed to F%$#ed. Somebody decided to merge into my lane with their pretty white Toyota Camry. Nailed the right front wheel, valence area paint messed up, fender sounds creaky now, rear wheel well trim messed up, rear bumper pushed into rear fender a bit, r. rear shock tweaked. Still, drives but the clunk is back in the right front and the alignment is out again. Oh and the rack made some noise and there is some leaking on that side now.
Upside: when I climbed up the side of the car the landing from the Fox 3.0 was super plush. And the Red Letter Grabber Tattoos on the side of her car are an attention getter. Definitely worked well with the white paint. Oh and knowing a misdemeanor on her part is now a felony is nice. You know, since she decided to run from the scene of a accident.
Have they caught her yet? Would start claiming that on your insurance. If she ran, its a 99% chance she didn't have insurance but you are probably already regretting this since you already know that.
Hey look a correctly setup truck and trailer combo!
