I would get ubolts and use those to hold the bracket instead of hose clamps. I would think it would hold for a run or two but not long term

Thanks Rick and @Houston Raptor since the pic I added 3 strong zip ties figuring if it works for @Jimbo it must work for me :)

I was thinking U-bolt at first but I didn't it would fit with the powertank. I guess I'll have to go and look at U-bolts now.

Question and hopefully someone here can tell me what kind of lock I have for my trailer? Basically its a rubber piece that gets squished and holds my propane cover on my trailer closed. The rubber has worn off and I need to replace it.

Anyone know what this type of lock is?

Edit - 15 minutes later I found out this is a Swell Latch. Googled "pull lock with rubber to hold panel in place" and Latches & Locks came up and from there it was easy to figure out. I guess knowing the right terms in the first place pays off :)

Shoot, I could have chased ya on that leg of your adventure! I'd be interested in knowing which back roads you took / how long did it take? Sounds like fun! Might have to try that one myself sometime!

I ran 487 south out of Casper just north off Medicine Bow and then turned off pavement on connecting dirt roads that got me to Roosevelt National Forest somewhere near Tie Siding. I was able to stay off pavement until somewhere west of Loveland. I couldn't find anything that would get me closer to Denver. I'd say it added another hour to the trip, but I grabbed a few photo opps along the way.
