@Houston Raptor Do you mind me asking what that ended up costing? Parts/labor?

I've always thought it would be cool to have a push button start...just not sure what it's worth price wise to me

Well, it's much more than just a push button start. The system makes it so you just carry the fob in your pocket and when you walk up to the truck the doors automatically unlock and when you walk away they automatically lock. It's also and alarm, remote start, and push to start.

The system was $350 from Digital Guard Dawg, and I paid an extra $100 for the Honda switch, cause I just liked the way it looked. So after taxes it was right around $500 shipped.

The install is what can get you. I called around and many shops didn't even wanna mess with it. Digital Guard Dawg got me in contact with an installer and they charged me 6 hours of labor, at $100/hr.

So it ended up costing me around $1200 total, which is a quite high to be honest, but it was exactly what I wanted out of a system. I really wanted to just lose the keys and keep the fob in my wallet and never have to get it out to lock or unlock the doors or to start the truck (although I do have to for remote start).

I'm sure there are simpler push to start systems you could find without all the other options I got and do it a lot cheaper.

Didn't know they even came with them.....mine didn't.

Damn, now where am I gonna put mine?

I think it was only in the 2010 and 2011 models without Nav.

Thanks @Houston Raptor for the breakdown. I appreciate it. Nothing is cheap on these trucks and this isn't crazy expensive for all that it does. I know what you mean that it is really sweet to never really have to take the keys out of your pocket. I'm always a little jealous when I get into cars that have that. Got to pay to play! Maybe one day for me and thanks for the heads up, maybe there are cheaper, simpler systems. Very nice though and looks super clean. Glad to hear your happy!

I really think the key would be to install it yourself, I'm just not one of those guys. I didn't mind taking a zawsaw to my frame horns or removing all my interior to lay down dynomat, but electrical stuff, no thanks. I mean I'll wire up some lights and what not, but anything more than that and I'll just pay the pros.
