So basically what you guys are saying is that it's great not to have the truck payment cause it's paid off but that would only mean that the mod list and expenses are just beginning right!? Lol

FREE side steps (grip tape optional $6.00)

Hey all, I dont know why i havent thought of this sooner. I have been looking for a decent set of nerf bars for my 2012 Raptor but the problem is i wasn't willing to spend 200-400 on a set when i could easily put that money towards something that would be more worth my while.

The factory side steps are unique and look good in my opinion but there is something about the clean seamless look of my Raptor with no running boards at all. Running 37's without running boards makes the truck look taller IMO.

Finally the other day I was looking at my running boards laying on the ground in my garage and thought to myself "What if i just use the brackets as side steps instead of using the whole running board.

BOOM.... the hardest part about this install is you have to drill 2 holes (each side) directly in the middle of both front doors for the ideal placement. (this was the "hardest" part and only took about 2 min each side).

Overall it is about a 30 minute project (I didn't have an impact driver)

Also I bought "3M" stair grip tape with yellow reflectors $6 dollars from Home depot. (optional). (cut to size)

Had new cover installed. Will keep stuff out of sight in MX. Yeah I know, not bad guy proof. Should keep gear water resistant, not proof and don't mind dust/dirt.

Sorry about the sunny pic, 82* this afternoon.
