Went to find out the source of a new clunk I found yesterday, turned out it was the top passenger side shock mount.
Got the top shock boult out no problem, the bottom one would not budge, cut the bolt off on both sides and pried the shock out of the lower mount.
Machined out half of the bolt and beat the shit out of it with a punch and 4lb hammer until the half with the bolt came out, then repeated on the other side.
Next up over to the lathe and turned a couple of temporary ones out of some aluminum stock:
Heading to the dealership tomorrow to order replacement bolts, and will order some new spacers as well and maybe a new uniball for the lower mount. Oh and see if the drivers side is also ******. Then head over to the metal distributor and pick up some plate to cut some mount doublers from.
