Umm Yea, OK.

I took responsibility for my sh*t, fixed it, learned from it, and adjusted accordingly. I wanted to point out the double-standard here. I think it worth pointing out that one should not ridicule another Raptor owner when they themselves might be having that uncomfortable conversation with a Ford rep themselves one day.... nuff said.

Tank, did all of your damage come from landing hard in that hole or from the frame dragging over the hole?
I'm going to say a combination of both. The cross-member and mounts acted the way they are supposed to and bent to relieve the shock from the hit that the frame took.
Kudos? It's abuse. And that's that. You're lucky you weren't injured and I'm not surprised that y'all blame BlueWhatever for your troubles. I won't even go back to any of your previous quotes regarding frame-bending and driver intelligence.
I would suggest adding a cage if you're gonna continue to rock-crawl with a pick-up.
Welcome to the club....
We all know who you are. So go back over to the Z and don't come back here. I don't need a cage just a transmission skid plate. Also I have a plan to strength the mounts that involves .090 wall tubing and 1/4in steel plate.
The kudos were given for him saying it is his fault and for NOT saying that it was Ford's fault for any sort of design flaw, which has been at the root of the majority of posts here discussing BlueSVT (let's NOT drag that dead horse out for another beating).
There is no design flaw. We will call it a design oversight we there is not a skid plate there. Maybe Ford could not get adequate cooling to the transmission with a skid plate there. Idk I'm a mechanic not an engineer. BTW the truck when to the Ford for the driveshaft clunk because my warranty was almost up and that was when the frame damage was found.

Every time I talk to a Ford rep its uncomfortable I'm 26 and own my Raptor out right. Do you know how many people don't take me seriously and assume that my truck was paid for by parental funds. When you do not handle things correctly which you did not you're going to get called on it.

Tank, that is not the way I intended my comment. I have never thought that you were calling your particular issue a design flaw. That part of my statement was related to previous issues that you had no part in.

Tank- we met a guy in the desert on one of our early A-B Raptor runs who managed to destroy his trans crossmember by running hard at speed. It was replaced by his race shop in El Cajon, CA Someplace there are some pics of the skid/crossmember they fabricated... maybe MMD or bstoner can help? I'm sure you could get a much heavier crossmember and skid plate installed for far less than a new frame.

Lucky he wasn't injured rock crawling?

Who here is "blaming Blue****** for our troubles"?

Adding a cage for rockcrawling is like wearing a football uniform for a walk in the park. :banghead:

"Welcome to the club" - what club are you welcoming Tank to? I think you're in a different club...:nutswinger:

The mounts were severely deformed to almost removed from the truck and several alignment holes on the frame were very deformed. My truck couldn't go on a frame rig if I got into a wreck.

You guys are funny.... I think you both need helmets.
Explain your point one more time. I'm not following your logic or your thought process at all.

Go ahead and talk to me as if I was 10 years old, and wearing that helmet of yours...
