Where are you guys seeing that Ford is making a 2021?????

And where are you seeing Ford will say it's a Gen3????

Nothing on Fords website suggests anything coming, just hear say from other websites.

1,500 hp, all electric with a 2,000 mile range. Then I can drive to California and suck up all of their spare electric power !

I talked with someone at Ford who said, "I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but there will not be a Raptor for the 2021 model year."
I was really hoping there would be. I think they'll have a press release in the first half of 2021 for the 2022 Raptor and we'll see it in the second half of 2021, as a 2022.

This is actually good news. The only way they could get something out for 2021 is to halfass it. Nobody wants that.

I love my Gen 2! The tune, CAI really made those turbos come to life.

Granted if they make a Gen 3 with a SC V8 I would trade it in for that, I won't jump ship to TRX. I will wait to see how they hold up as it claims to be "king of off road" yet hasn't ran a Baja 1000 yet...

I feel that Ford will not go with the 7.3 option for the Gen 3 because the current Gen 2 has a great power to weight ratio and I don’t see them stuffing a massive 7.3 in there. Personally I don’t want anything that is N/A either, the way boost delivers power is amazing whether that be turbos or SC. Most Customers that buy these kind of trucks (Raptor/TRX aren’t that concerned about fuel economy... but i agree that it shouldn’t be as bad as the TRX especially for those who daily their Raptors. I don’t want to have to take a home equity loan out on my house to be able to drive my Raptor. The 5.2SC would be the best current option to compete with the TRX power numbers and it’s already a production motor with time in testing. Just my .2

I’ll play. I honestLy believe ford realized they should have offered an 8 cylinder in some fashion on Gen 2, so my bet is they will more than make up for the lack of options now. Power boost V6 hybrid as base, New 6.8L (based on 7.3 Godzilla, but graphite iron block, aluminum heads w/ both port and direct injection as an option, and finally a “King Raptor” offering with the SC 5.2L.

Gen 3 will have upgraded brakes over F150, unlike the gen 2 in addition to coil rear suspension.

Give me an Scab, a great suspension that is built for off-road but I can still tow and hold a decent payload and use as an actual 1/2 ton work truck, badass stereo. Whatever the motor option is doesn’t need to be 700+ HP, but be perfectly engineered for all components (engine/weight/transmission/suspension) to outperform the competition. Not just slap the highest HP motor in a truck and call it a day. I’ll take 650 HP in a V6TT or SC V8 if it just performs better.
