The next time you go to a dealer, give them a written test. If they pass the test, then they should get the sale. That way you know they are at least dedicated enough to the product they sell to know about it.

I went to the dealer by my house today. I like the lady there that I have bough a couple of cars fram and my neighbors have bought at least 4 from her. She knows her stuff and is not pressure and actually called and let me order the first screw they got last year but I was not in a position to buy at the time. She sold it to someother luck bastard - Loaded in silver.

Anyway I saw the Race Red color (on a focus) and while many will like it it's not what I wanted with the metalic in it. It's just fire engine red so that eliminates one of my color issues. I've now ruled out Black (my GT500 is black and I can't do another black car as much as I like them) and Red is not my cup of tea. Blue is leading the way with Silver slightly ahead of white in 2nd right now.

She had just come back from Ford (no 2013 rumors) but the dealer has 3 on order already. 1 is sold and two I guess are for them to sell. (Silver sold, Blue and white on order) but they don't have the options I want. I'm holding out for the nav. etc.

I am planning to buy from Randy actually - he's been very responsive to my PM's and quedtions and others speak highly of him as well. I will give the local dealer a chance to beat his deal but if it is not by $500 or more I'll go to Randy and if history is any indicator they likely won't want to deal on price off MSRP. I at least want to let them have a shot though as I drag race with the techs there and my kids are like mascots in the show room. My dog has grown up there as well and roams like he owns the place. I have nothing bad to say about them at all but if I can't get a winning deal I have a good place to go. I have no problem with dealers making money from me - it's a business and their job....but I don't want them to make it all on me if you know what I mean.

I would agree, but because I am there and friendly with so many of them I want to give them the option so there are no hard feelings if/when I drive up in a Raptor. I did the same thing with my GT500 but bought it from a dealer in OH that wanted to make the deal work for me and gave a good trade value on my 05 Mustang which i did buy from the local dealer.
