2019 Gen2 with 57k miles. When driving my truck, I’ve noticed that when the boost gauge is at 1/4 or 3/4, the turbo gauge sometimes makes a strange noise that resembles a Whipple noise. It almost sounds like it’s struggling to maintain consistent boost when this noise occurs. Additionally, my gas pedal feels less responsive than before. I checked for leaks with a smoke machine, but no leaks in my intake pipes. I’m not sure if I've just gotten used to the power or if there’s an actual issue. Has anyone else experienced this noise or the change in gas pedal sensitivity? Any insights would be appreciated. I also attached a voice recording that I made with my mouth lol. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/jzs3...copy.m4a?rlkey=tdwsvbdfn2tsxyvnuhe3zf5xz&dl=0

Sounds like either a restriction (intake tube or filter collapsing) or a boost leak. You’ll need a high pressure smoke machine to test the CAC system for leaks.

I bought a high pressured smoke machine that cost like $500. Plugged it up to the intake and performed the test. I don’t see any signs of smoke coming out anywhere but also there is not pressure on the gauge. Read in the manual that if the pressure is at zero there is a massive leak. However, I don’t see smoke anywhere to spit a leak. As for the filter. Are you talking about the intake filter or some other filter? This is a brand new filter on the intake that I took off when performing the test. Taking it to the dealer Tuesday unless I find a solution before hand.

So I should have been more specific; you’ll need to block off the air filter (plastic bag works well) as well as the the turbos or exhaust in addition to the throttle body inlet. Otherwise pressure will not build.
