Hi guys i haven't posted in a while and sorry its going to be a long one:

so i have a very weird issue on my car. I was up in the mountains 2 weeks ago and while coming down slowly the guy behind me flashed his lights and stopped me to tell me there was an issue with one of the rear wheels, he told me the rear left wheel is wobbling, however i was not feeling any vibrations on the car.

I had recently changed the tires so i thought i had a bad tire, i drove slowly to a nearby tire shop where they checked the tire and re-balanced it but still the tire was wobbling and no vibrations.

I took the car to the local dealership and after keeping it for 4 days they told me they suspect the axle is bent and they need to open up the whole rear diff just to check and this will not be covered under warranty and i would have to pay for it, they even suspected that the entire diff housing is bent.

Its funny cause i never hit anything and that is the only way you can break or bend an axle and the last time i went off-roading was in Feb after that whole country was in lock down.

I did jumped off a few sand dunes back in feb but that was 7 months ago and after that the car even went it for a service.

So i decided to take my car back park it at home and hopefully in 2 weeks when they open borders i will take it Dubai where they have better technicians and mechanics.

As the mountain is very steep normally we are asked by the authorities to put the car in 4L and manual mode all the way down, this issue started happening when i stopped put it into 4L and drove slowly down,

Has anyone faced this issue or not what it could be, any suggestions and advice is much appreciated.

There have been a few members on here who have bent their rear ends and had to replace the housing and axle, so it's not unheard of, just rare. If you jump it wrong or it lands heavy on one side it is possible to bend steel.

It's not going to be bent like a 45 degree angle, I bet you would hardly notice it sitting in the truck. Hopefully it's just an axle. Pretty easy to tell, you don't need a dealer to tell you that. If you can light a match you could test this. Jack up the rear of your truck with a jack, put it on jack stands and put it in drive, if it wobbles and you have already changed that tire and rim, then it leaves the axle or the axle and housing being bent. You yourself said that you didn't feel any vibration, so it could of been happening for months too. Good luck.

The issue only started 2 weeks ago because someone mentioned it to you 2 weeks ago.

This is what I’m thinking. Also suspect a bent wheel. A wheel can wobble like hell and still be balanced enough to not feel it.

I would have noticed and normally go out for drives (not off-roading) and car meets and we drive in a convoy so i am sure someone would have noticed it before if it had happened before. I myself would have noticed because several times i drive with the side mirrors pointing down and rear at the truck as i noticed the rear bed is not aligned so i wanted to see if it moves while i drive. I never noticed any wheel wobble. Anyways i will get confirmation by Saturday my time. Than you all for ur suggestions and advice, so based on everyone's response its pointing towards bent axle

Then, the only alternative is that somebody hit your rear tire when you were parked. The housing only has to be bent at the flange where the axle slides in, so you won't probably see it from looking behind the truck. Get a buddy and jack your truck up and check it out, don't climb under it or take a tire off without jack stands in place, chalk the front tires too, so it doesnt roll on you. Check the rear tires for damage as if somebody hit them with a vehicle. Good luck again.
