Great advice, thanks. I said I’d go easy. That didn’t last long. I don’t think I went too crazy but...Glad I made it back.

Apparently I need to trailer the Raptor. Isn’t that the antithesis of a Raptor?

Did you ever make the switch if so which one did you go with?

I'm on the verge of either redoing the inner boots with some NAPA ones or buying new axles since I'm not 100% sure the CV joints aren't damaged (boots have been torn for a while).

Also replacing the IWE with a OEM one, probably the culprit of the torn boots.

I went with Trakmotive from Rock Auto. I replaced both and bought a spare so I had Two replacements in case anything happened in the future. *Left and Right are different parts btw.

I also did IWE delete, went with RCV. Very happy with that so far. Stiffened steering, which I like, although if I tear another boot and break the CV Race/Cage then I will HAVE to tow it home instead of driving it back, I think at least...

Moral of the story for me at least is: keep the Raptor in high speed open areas and don’t try to go to the Rock Crawl area!

For that price, I would do the same. No issues so far I assume?

My drivers side IWE is stuck in the "enaged"position/CV axle (no leaks but spins the axles when engines is running) and technically running as if I had an IWE delete, got a OEM replacement and hope this fixes the noise and humming.

Haha, I do enjoy the easy/moderate rock crawling and off-roading on this wide thing.

Unfortunately I live in the really fookin flat land of IL, so I can get after it much unless I find a cornfield to do donuts in!

no issues from the trakmotives so far. Daily it and did some snow drifting and donuts this winter, but so far so good.

As you said, at that price why not buy two.

P.S. I love the IWE delete so far. I hear a lot about IWE problems here so I just went and did it while I was in there.

I highly recommend it. I also don’t go hard in the dirt often just because I don’t have the ability to in my location so take that for what it’s worth.

Seems like a great price. OEM replacement price from Tasca is about $250/ CV.

How are they holding up?
