I have the Bakflip X3 and it does a great job of keeping water out. Granted it doesn’t rain much here in southern Ca, but I’ve never had issues.

Not sure why you’re looking away from DiamondBack. The thing is built like a tank. Zero water (or anything else) gets in, no matter the Texas storm. Highly recommend.

Had a Bak x2 on my 2015 king ranch for 7 years, zero leakage. The x4 on my new raptor is also leakfree in 5 months of use. Love it

I have the ReTrax with the rails with the Yakima racks and love it. A little water gets in, but not enough to soak through a bag and it's only in the rear corners where the tracks keep the cover gasket slightly higher than the tailgate on the sides. I'm in the NE and can get some downpours.

Because the Retrax Pro leaks so much on mine I keep everything in plastic containers from Home Despot. It's a mess after a rain but it does eventually dry out. Not what was advertised to me and the Factory told me the same things, not their fauly, warranty period over.

I bought the ford trifold for $350 and it has been really good, even with a foot of snow on it and it stayed 95% dry. Not super secure but I think out of sight out of mind. I’ll buy another when this one finally dies.
