so it rained like hell monday and my drivers side back door had about 6" of water in it. you could hear it and feel it slosh around if you pushed the door back and forth... I pulled the rubber plug out (about 3" form the bottom of the door) and water arced out about a foot for about 15 seconds... WTF?

there are no gaps or seams at the top.

the door is wrapped and the wrap covered the weep holes at the bottom, which we opened and more water came out.

for those who know, it is normal for rain to get inside the door at all?

yes. inside the door is a wet environment. that is why they put a plastic barrier in place. there are drain holes in the very bottom of the door. if they are plugged, the the water will pool up.
