Dang. So far mine’s been good with a new battery, but that’s only been a couple of days and maybe only a matter of time to next failure, if phantom drain. Seems that there’s at least 3 of us following this thread with same issue. I’m not convinced that my short daily drives sufficiently deplete my battery…but then, I’m not an auto mechanic. I would have already been to the dealership to follow-up, but still in Covid + quarantine. Would appreciate knowing anything you find out.

Soonest the shop could get me in was Tuesday of next week. I’ll let you know what I find out.

Seems I remember others also discussing a phantom/parasitic battery drain when the 21’s first started rolling out. Hopefully it’s a quick/simple fix and we can get back to trusting out trucks.

I had a similar issue, went through and made sure every fuse (even panel in passenger footwell) was seated and my issues disappeared.

I might start mine every 2-3 days (not my daily) and when I do, trips are short. I don’t buy this myth. Got the truck in Feb

It’s certainly not apples to apples, but it’s fairly common knowledge that corvettes - C5+ gens have modules/electronics that draw some power from the battery all the time even when off, & in addition esp c5/c6 vettes low voltage on the battery results in error codes & modules to act faulty/sporadic & then as others mentioned one module talks to another & next thing you know you got Xmas lights on the dash- couple this w/ the fact many people do not drive them regularly and/or not for far distances you wind up w/ issues. I plug into a tender every few days during summer on mine even when I’m driving it fairly regularly, & of course all the time on tender whenever it’ll sit for a week or more.

If you are consistently only driving short distances & not higher speed/rpm, may consider throwing a tender on it for peace of mind

All most all vehicles the last 20 years have a certain amount of parasitic drain. It's what keeps the computers semi awake. Awake enough to listen to key fobs that might want to unlock a door as a minor example. The question would be how much is acceptable? Perhaps FordTechOne has the standby current draw on the Raptor. In addition, I would suspect a marked difference between models and year. The base line varies ...well alot!
My ole '91 F150 can sit over six months and then fire right up. My 2010 MKT and my 2004 F150, each are good for about one to two weeks before the standby draw begins to cause starting issues.

For those who think short hops don't add up. Here are the charging characteristics for your battery:

You will use around 8000 watt-seconds (joules) to start you Raptor on a warm sunny afternoon out of around 3000000 joules in your battery (theoretically).

Thank you for this thread and all the information. Has anyone had a repeat issues? My truck just did this. I dont remember anything being different when I exited the truck last night. I did have several fuses that needed a slight push down when checking this morning. I had to disconnect the battery to get the speakers to stop thumping. Im about to jump it and bring to the dealer.

Speaker thump. Yep, good indicator of low battery on a Gen3 Raptor (mine did same). Just put an over night charger on it tonight and all will be fine in the morning.

It jumped easily this morning. I let is sit and charge for 20 min and then drove 20 min to dealer. The dealer said battery checked out fine. I guess Im rolling with it and will wait and see if it happens again. 1680 miles on truck

My 21 just did this for the third time. Bunch of lights and warnings and then the speaker thump. Hit it with a jump starter and then it acts like nothing happened. It’s at the dealership now and they need more time with it. Anymore information on the cause?
