Sounds like a bad battery.
I accidentally drained mine once and the sub was thumping. Pressed the brake and tried to start and the brake pedal did the same. So may want to check battery if possible.

How would I go about checking the battery other than just going to a new one and replace it? Thx for any help with this…not my area of expertise.

There where quite a few folks that had battery issues with new trucks. I’m not saying that’s what it is but could be. Do you have a battery maintainer?

No, I appreciate your insight. Battery certainly could be a possibility…I took it out for a leisurely drive the day before, parked it overnight, and the problem was first attempt at start up next morning. I do have a battery maintainer…

Anyone else have a battery issue with a new truck?
Batteries are actually one of the most common failures on new vehicles across the industry. There are only a couple of manufacturers that make them, so they are just relabeled by brand.

Start by checking the voltage across the terminals with a volt meter. A normal reading is 12.6. Any less than 12V and the battery is discharged.

I leave the mechanical work to the mechanics but the first thing that popped into my head based on what you described with the break pedal was an ABS malfunction. The error messages are certainly concerning. However, sometimes a malfunction in one control module tends to make other modules downstream puke. My 2018 has been "healthy" since birth. (Knock on wood) The more I read about the Gen 3's, the more skeptical I get with Ford's post covid QC. I know how excited I was to take delivery of my truck, I can only imagine how disappointing this is for a new owner. I was always told, while it's under warranty, "drive it like you stole it". Good luck brother.
