Welcome to the COVID market

Yup. Our national debt now ranks up there with Italy's. Best case, the rest of the world continues to finance our spending by buying our debt. If they get spooked, it's going to get wild. A currency collapse and hyperinflation are both possible. Fingers crossed that we wobble through this. It will be an interesting show and anyone who says that they can predict what's going to happen is delusional. I'd say if you really, really want it and the price isn't totally stupid compared to the alternatives, then buy it. Life is short and uncertain.

Sounds overpriced, even if you were in California. Have him check out cargurus.com and do a nationwide search for average market prices and what's out there.

Also in a nutshell, difference between 800a and 802a? Thanks again for all the input, I think he’s going to wait it out. Don’t know what all the hoopla is about, u Gen 2 guys/gals are a pretty nice group. Hahaha

I dunno man keep looking but every day inventory gets tighter, IF there are any new ones left (doubtful) & your alternative- buying a legit used one @ non-discounted new prices, not a great look. Depreciation central.

a gen 1? Unless you found a dirt cheap one or had money to burn on a vehicle that @ this point should strictly be relegated to either a) full on toy car offroad status as in who gives a damn what happens to it OR b) complete opposite low mileage clean collector example

either way....less and less is a gen1 raptor equating to a real DD vehicle....besides the fact they get shit MPG, low on the features, and well...they rust

get a well optioned well modded gen2 w/ 50k or less for $50-$60k tops or wait for a gen 3 IMHO

As much as I like ragging on people for no reason, let's not pretend the used/new car prices (raptors included) ballooned starting last summer and the fact that there is no model year 2021 out yet to add more supply isn't affecting this. Also those historic low interest rates starting last year definitely didn't effect inflation... and I didn't vote for Joey B.

But enough of that. Sorry for derailing a tad.
