I've got 33k on the clock on my 2010 SCab and am planning on taking it to a dealership before I hit 35k to get what I can get before I'm on my own. The right A/C air vent broke the other day, so I'm going to see if they'll replace that. I also want the Engine and Tranny programming flashed to the latest version (from what I understand, these programs have changed?).

What else should I be looking at? The truck seems good to go. I've noticed that when putting it in drive in the mornings, it tries to surge some. it also does this at times when braking to a full stop. It seems like it may be the transmission going to first (in the case of the braking to full stop). Is this somehting indicitave of a growing issue, or just how these trucks run?

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks!

I've never been big on warrenties, granted, this is the newest vehicle I've owned too so there's that...

They just seem like they're not worth the money to me...

I'm also infested in this I'm only at 20k but I would like to know what guys have gotten replaced or fixed so I can keep an eye on them.
I know the only thing I have replaced is the third brake light and I need to get my window lock switch fixed.

I can understand that but all it takes is 1 big issue like a engine or tranny and you have just paid for the warranty. Just saying, it happened to me a few years back when I bought a used F350. It was mint condition and had never been used for work. I almost didn't do a extended warranty but decided to in the end, 7500 miles later there goes the transmission. Warranty replaced it no questions asked and not a cent out of my pocket.

Shocks for sure. Not covered under the extended warranty even if you decide to go that route. A lot of guys, myself included, didn't know the rear shocks were toast. Front is a little easier to tell if they are blown.

Right on. I guess I'm footing the bill for the mechanic time for a general inspection or how does that work?

Man you guys that pick up new rides all the time have more coin than me, enjoy that!
