Is the OEM bumper powder coated or painted? I really think it’s powder coated. I wonder how I can get the powder color so I can redo the bumper and skid plate at same time.

not sure...might be powdercoat since its one of the only steel parts on the truck other than frame- don’t want it rusting

the skid plate is aluminum

I don’t think it would necessarily look bad to leave that part of the bumper silver & have skid plate a different color

I was considering doing this. The only pix I have seen however are low resolution and I can't tell how it really looks. I think I prefer all or nothing however.

I think I may just go the plastidip route, I just have never seen or felt that stuff and am afraid it will look like shit real quick. I really may take the bumper and skid plate of and powder coat them all. But not powdering the grey part of the bumper, just the silver.

I'm pretty sure the bumpers are painted, not powdercoated.
I painted mine magnetic grey to match the bumper.

I can't believed that ford painted the bumper to look like part of the skid plate. So even if I do powdercoat the skid plate, the bumper part will still be silver. Ugh this sucks as it would definitely be a nice touch to have black skid plate rather than looking like every other Raptor out there.

What if anything have any other forum members done?

Great way to differentiate yourself - have a slightly different colored skid plate. That’ll teach em!!!
