I put down a deposit, have build sheet, contacted FP for the VIN. FP gave me a build week of 02/14 but said I had to contact the dealer for the VIN#. I contacted the dealer and was told they do not show a VIN# yet so I am a bit confused.

I **** $1500 down, have the build sheet, that was in mid October and I still do not have a VIN or build date, now does anyone else in this state that put money down around the same time.
That means your dealer likely placed more orders than they have allocations for.

Call and talk directly with the sales manager or the GM and have them talk to their zone rep on why no VIN and build date yet if they had an open allocation when they placed your order. Fingers crossed for you man.

That's who I got the order from.
The story I got was orders are based on region and dealer size and our region and siize will likely be scheduled in February, so I will wait that long, then start getting noisy.
He also said it will likley get an April build date.

I originally placed an order in August of 21 for a LF with torsion and 360 cam and never heard anything. Dealer didnt know anything except the chip shortage delay. Called Ford performance and they said my 21 order was cancelled by Ford for unk reason. I called dealer and then ordered the same truck but i white since no LF anymore. I ordered on January 6 th and a couple days later got an email from Ford saying my order was accepted. Called Ford performance today and the lady asked for my order number and order code. She checked and said that my order was accepted which she said only is possible if my dealer had an allocation. So she said be patient and they will e-mail me with a production date. So if I get it before June I will be happy.

What is the benefit of a dealership placing an order without allocation? I assume most agree to a refundable deposit.

I received the email from Ford which said my order was accepted, FP verified that I wouldn't get that if my dealer had no allocation.
