On another thread there was lots of discussion between a few different kinds of tires. I asked for people with Toyo MT's and Goodyear Duratrac tires to comment on which tire was better and why. After a lot of commenting it is clear why some like one tire better than the other.. along with some others contributing their opinions on why Falken Wildpeak AT's are even better.. lol

So now after all the discussion it's time to see what the majority of people would prefer. If you don't know much about any of the tires visit the other thread "Questions on tires" and you will learn a lot about them where you can form your own opinion.

The Stockers are not all that bad. i went on a mud run with Spartanraptor and they did really well Aired them down to 35 and i was going everywhere he was with his Mickey Thompson's that were also aired down to 35. we where both really surprised how well they did.

Once an Offroad King always haha!.... just because you're wife leaves you holding her handbag doesn't change who you are - I'm just having some fun with it. Pat, nobody's ever going to confuse you're beast with a street queen haha!! The idea that OP may go with the winner of this vote means he may need some slapping around lol.

Seriously though, whereas the BFG stockers are almost always found on pavement pounders because of their smooth ride, the Toyos rarely are. But many offroaders leave them on because they do the majority of their driving onroad and they do well enough in dry desert terrain. (No one offroads in baja-style terrain more than Trey, and he runs the stock BFG - enough said!).

And whereas the heavy sidewalled, aggressive tread Toyos are often found on offroaders, they might occasionally be found on street queens just for show.

It all comes down to how you are going to use the truck and what kind of trails you may encounter. And also the look you are going for. Toyos instantly make the truck look more beastly.

Stockers chunk out really bad if run aggressively on hard rocky trails -> eventually opening up the tread might make them a better mudder?... No cleanouts makes BFG's mud ballers - and makes for youtube videos of stuck Raptors lol.

Exhibit A: sepu9azy.jpg

I just prefer a tire that looks like it means business and then delivers no matter what kind of terrain is encountered!

I ran Coopers before and they are a quality tire. I assume they are less expensive than the MT's as they are kinda a generic brand.

FYI Captain, a buddy who currently has those M/Ts is swapping them out for Toyos as the M/Ts are about an inch thinner, which he does not like.

ya i know a couple of guys that have run the Coopers and Toyo's. they really liked both and said you really can't go wrong with ether of them. i think the Coopers will be my next set. i found 35x12.5x17 for $307.
