Just got a call from my dealer. My status has changed to "submitted priority 1." He said no VIN yet though. Should I call SVT and check??

Reptar said:Thats interesting. My VIN# is 1FTFW1R66CFA71582 that I got yesterday, so my VIN# is higher than yours, but with a build week of 16-Jan. I sure hope mine didn't get bumped already since yesterday lol
They'll tell you the same thing if the dealer just gave you that news. Usually takes a couple days to get a VIN# assigned after they move it to priority 1.

Agree with Reptar, I had 01 priority....then came a VIN about 1.5 weeks later and just this morning finally, a window sticker. Build date of Dec 22.
Hoping that the luck of actual build date earlier than sticker date is true...
Hmmm my vin (1FTFW1R63CFA58448) is about 20000 lower than urs and mine is set to be built on Jan 19 from what my salesman said

Note that your VIN is W1R63 and Reptars is W1R66. not sure what the difference is. Maybe a different line??
So for any of you who have followed.. the dealer messed up and somehow did not submit my last color change from black to silver. I have their print out from the order bank showing it in Ingot Silver but for whatever reason, it didn't take.
My window sticker shows a build of 12/21 so they tried to get it changed at the plant.. They talked to the Dearborn plant this morning and they can't change the color BECAUSE IT WAS BUILT YESTERDAY! Apparently it's sitting there waiting to ship and should be delivered 12/26. Some of you may have trucks build and not even realize it!
Not sure why the difference from the sticker to the actual build date but it's all good, they took care of me and chopped a grand off to make up for it. In reality I was flip flopping back and forth between the two colors and am just as happy with it black so all's well.

Here's what the VIN# stands for broken down. W1R63 and W1R66 actually only shows are trucks are identical on a level of what that information in the VIN# means. The W1R means they're both the same model, the 6 means we both have the 6.2, and the 3 on his and the 6 on mine are just the check digits.
Here's my VIN#, and how it's decoded.
1FTFW1R66CFA71582
1.) 1= Made in USA (2= Made in Canada, etc.)
2.) F= Ford (M=Mercury, etc.)
3.) T= Truck
4.) F= Retraint Type or GVWR class
5,6,7.) W1R= Model Code
8.) 6= Engine Type 6.2
9.) 6= Check Digit (calculated based off the sum of other digits in the VIN#, so you can't just make up a random VIN# without knowing the calculation, or this digit would be incorrect)
10.) C= Model Year 2012
11.) F= Factory ID (Dearborn)
12.) A= Sqeuence (After 99,999 is reached on digits 13-17, then it goes to B, then C, etc.)
13.-17.) 71582= sequence # (still fuzzy on this, originally thought it was the order they rolled off the line, but apparently it's not exactly that, more along the lines with order that orders were pulled in)
My twin HD trucks VIN#'s were
2FTRX07L6YCA89886 (00 HD #0356, built 5/18/00)
2FTRX07L2YCA98567 (00 HD #1552, built 6/20/00)
Both identical 00 HD's, so most of the digits in the VIN# are exactly the same, except for the 9th (check digit), then the last 5. Basically it should be the same for all raptors. Nearly identical digits except the model code may be different for supercabs vs supercrews, the check digits will be based upon the other #'s in the vin, and the last 6 digits will be unique for every truck of that year.
